Human Capital Best Practices Conference

Human Capital Best Practices Conference

Oct 18, 2017

On the 26th of September, 2017 we had the honour of being invited to the Human Capital Best Practices Conference proudly organised by Maslow Trainers and Consultants, where we were humbled to receive an award for ongoing support and sponsorship. This is an annual event where major players in the business atmosphere get together and discuss the innovation and challenges of the Human Resources world. Some of the attendees included the Human Resources Director of Coca-Cola, Mr Gaurav Sharma and the Group Head of Talent Management for Air Asia Ms Faz Kamaruddin amongst many other representatives from successful world known companies.

This forum provided us with an amazing networking opportunity where we were reassured of the quality of the service we provide in our Business English Program. It was rewarding to see that our program is an effective tool to the business community in Kuala Lumpur. This conference provided our management team with the insight into the challenges of the Human Resources environment, it also allowed us to see that every company no matter how big or small faces similar challenges in different contexts. The high calibre of speakers in this conference gave us all an insight into the business mentality used in each organisation.  This gave us an insight into their methods whilst providing us all with a valuable learning environment. Some of the areas discussed were; salary, recruitment techniques, and how to magnify and assist employees in their career development. As it was once said by Tom Peters “Excellent firms do not believe in excellence: they believe in constant improvement and constant change”, at EMS we strive to continuously learn and provide the best environment to our employees and best service to our clients.

Summer Camp 2016

Sep 15, 2015

EMS summer camp for this eventful year has come to an end and the first question that comes to EMS teachers and staff would be was the idea behind the summer camp met and second, did the students gain anything meaningful during that stay in EMS and Malaysia. The good news for this year summer camp is that it was quite successful as it was planned; students came and learned English in an interesting and suitable environment. They had fun by visiting different places in Malaysia and they made new friends in a new environment. This shows how great the program was this year; the not so good news is that most of them will be leaving at the end of this program; they will be leaving EMS, as we have enjoyed their presence and curiosity at times and some of them will be parting ways with their new friends they had just met behind.

On the other hand, we can answer the questions on most of the students mind about their feelings and experience about the summer camp we can only assume they had a wonderful time and were please with their expectations about EMS language center. Most of the students grow fond of the teachers and some of them change their perspective about learning English; to them now English is a easy language and it is a way of meeting new people with different or same ideas and it is also useful in navigating through the future without any hindrance. That is the main goal in EMS, we bring in students and change their ideology about English language and also instill some confidence inside them and open a whole adventure for them to explore.

The winter camp 2015 is still in the process of being implemented, but for now, we just stick on the success of this year Summer camp and the EMS staff hope that there will be more amazing moments for the students coming for the future summer camps and they would continue to provide their services in the teaching and nurturing students into better leaders.

If education is the window to success, then English is the key to that window. Without the competencies in the language, university education may just be an unfulfilled dream. The majority of students who study at EMS place university education at the heart of their ambition and know only too well that English is the ticket to university admissions globally. It is for this reason that EMS has consistently worked hard to achieve good standards in the delivery of its English language programs. This has enabled the Centre to gain recognition as a reputable and trusted educational institution which can provide the right candidates for the intake of new students into Malaysian universities. Thanks to this recognition, the EMS Certificate is now widely accepted as a benchmark for English language competency for admission into local universities, along with the IELTS or TOEFL certificate.

This recognition speaks volume for the quality of our education, which not only comes with high academic standards, but a holistic learning environment that nurtures students into being confident university students. Our dedicated teachers make sure you get the best out of your English language learning experience at EMS – and our commitment doesn’t stop there. We at EMS have your best interest at heart, so we continue to extend our support after your completion of your English program, providing free consultation for university application, to help you get to the university and program of your choice.
